   "Father and Son" was covered by Boyzone frontman Ronan Keating and released as the second of three singles from his greatest hits compilation album, 10 Years of Hits (). The song features guest vocals from Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens). The song peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Keating's eleventh top-ten single.B-side: "Moonshadow".

   Clearer guitar sounds, even the sound of the pick hitting the strings. Nicely remastered, enjoyable songs. This in combination with "Foot steps in the dark" makes a very good Cat Stevens collection of songs. Cat Stevens had a unique way of writing music, it takes time to listen and appreciate some of the songs. Listen to the CD multiple times/5().

   The music shows how simple acoustic music can be beautiful and enchanting. Opening with a succession of Cat Steven greats, there are many gems, but my favourite has got to be the penultimate song Father and Son. A must have in every collection. Cat Stevens was a great singer songwriter, his songs are so moving and beautiful, he cannot be trumped/5(1K).

   Like many of his peers, Cat Stevens made records that were identified by strong, memorable hit singles, but make no mistake: he made albums that were cohesive works onto themselves. For that reason, the very idea of a Cat Stevens greatest-hits collection may be troublesome to some fans, since they will only notice the missing album tracks, but Greatest Hits does its job exceptionally well.

   It’s a song long considered the greatest song ever from a son to his dad. For so many reasons. Plus the sad and ironic humanity of father and son and a CD (or CD-R) of 18 songs written.
